PEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

2020 DEADLINE: JULY 1ST

The Secondary Division has established a Student Leadership Team. These team members are chosen from applicants to represent various regions in Virginia. The team provides support and leadership at our annual conference and potentially at Secondary events throughout the conference year.

Qualifications:

• Applicant must be a rising High School Junior or Senior who has previously attended VTA annual conference.

• Applicant must be a member of VTA.

• Applicant must be recommended by their director or sponsor.

• Applicant must make every effort to attend a one-day leadership retreat to create a cohesive team. Date to be announced.

• Leadership experience a plus but passion for theatre a must.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a role model and student mentor at VTA conference.

• Volunteer at VTA conference in various capacities based on availability.

• Prepare and present a workshop for MSTF as a team at VTA conference.

• Give student input into Secondary Division policies and issues as requested by Virginia Theatre Association Secondary Division Chair/Vice– Chair, Executive Director, or President.

• Act as ambassadors for Virginia Theatre Association at local events.
