The Virginia Theatre Association (VTA) is one of the largest state theatre associations in the country. VTA is the central resource for connecting, creating, cultivating and advocating for practitioners of theatre in the Commonwealth.
The Central Office staff performs much of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps VTA working efficiently. Based in downtown Lynchburg, Virginia, the staff manages the organization, programming, events and work collaboratively with the VTA Board of Directors to fulfill the mission of the organization. Members of the staff are responsible for all communication and marketing, customer service, membership, billing, convention planning, professional and educational theatre services, convention registration, festivals, and public information.
Chelsea joined VTA in June of 2018 as the Interim Managing Director. After a successful 2018 Annual Conference, the Board of Directors tapped her as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Chelsea graduated from Stephens College with her BFA in Theatre Arts. She’s been involved with theatre since high school, acting in community and professional productions across the country. She settled down with her husband and daughter, Chloe, in Lynchburg, VA.
