SUBMIT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! Have a chance to work with Jacob Stuart Dickey (Aladdin/Prince of Egypt) and a cast of professional, college, and high school actors at VTA!

This year, we are bringing a new event to Conference. On Friday, October 26, in conjunction with Wolfbane Productions, VTA will be hosting a staged reading of Bubble Boy The Musical. Bubble Boy is based on the movie of the same name, written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio (Despicable Me, The Lorax, The Secret Life of Pets), both of whom will be at this years Conference! This event will be part of our first ever President’s Reception, where you will have the opportunity to rub elbows with Tony Award winner... oh wait, we haven't revealed all of our headliners yet! But this year, we are providing a venue for you to chat with our headliners, get autographs, take pictures, eat delicious food, and enjoy the company of your friends! This is going to be something never before seen at VTA!

But here’s the thing… Bubble Boy the Musical will be starring… YOU!

Working with Wolfbane, we will be casting based on your video submissions. So, as Ken Arpino, Executive Director of Wolfbane Productions, creator of “It Gets Funnier” and actor from National Tours of Mamma Mia, Legally Blonde, and Hairspray, says… send us 16-32 bars of you singing something you love, your resume, and headshot to to have a chance at working with a professional company and a combination of professional, local, and student performers. And we need you all! High School, College, Adult, Teachers, Professors, you all have a chance to be part of this one of a kind event for this year's Conference! Personally, I played (and will be reprising) the role of Mr. Livingston in the professional premiere of Bubble Boy in 2016 with Wolfbane Productions, and I can not wait to share this show with VTA.

If cast, we will send you a script, vocal tracks, and music so that you can work on your parts at home. Then in Norfolk, over Thursday and Friday (working around competition schedules) we will pull this show together for the membership!

We are excited for this opportunity to bring this show to VTA and give you a chance to be a part of it!

The submission deadline is September 7th, so don’t delay getting those videos in!
